John has been a California Highway Patrol Officer for 24 years. His currently assigned as the Public Information Officer for the Newhall Area. John has worked all over Southern California in many capacities including as a Background Investigator and Undercover Vehicle Theft Investigator.
Born in Columbus, Ohio (Go Buckeyes!) into a large family. He went to middle school and high school in La Canada, CA. Attended both Pasadena City College and Glendale College before attending the California Highway Patrol Academy in early 1988.
John is actively involved in the community, supporting the Santa Clarita Youth Project as an Advisory Board member, the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center as a Foundation Trustee, and the Santa Clarita Valley of the Special Olympics.
Being an avid football fan and (past player), he now coaches Varsity Football at Saugus High School as well Spartan Youth Football.
John has lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for almost 20 years and have been working in the valley for over 9 years. He lives here with his two teenage boys, Ryan and Jake.
